Salvation

Why did Jesus come to earth? Did He come to heal? Did He come to teach people? Did He come to perform super-awesome miracles that drew big crowds? Jesus did all of those things, but they weren’t the main reason He came to earth. Jesus came to give His life, to save and deliver us. By dying on the cross and being raised back to life, Jesus took on the punishment for our sin so we could have a relationship with God that lasts forever. Jesus made the first move… the next move is up to each of us, to accept the gift of forgiveness and eternal life that Jesus offers to us. The Bible tells us we do that by confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead. (Romans 10:9). Teaching kids to receive Jesus’ gift is as easy as A, B, C:

  • A: ADMIT that we have sinned, everyone has fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23).
  • B: BELIEVE that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross and rise again to take the consequence of our mistakes (John 3:16).
  • C: CHOOSE to live for Him. Out of gratitude, we can live for Jesus and tell others about Him (Matthew 28 19-20).

Is your child ready to take that step? Pray together:

  • Dear Jesus,
Thank you so much for loving me, no matter the choices I make in my life. Thank you for dying on the cross for my mistakes. I accept your love and your forgiveness and I want to have a relationship with you. Amen
