We were made for dynamic, life-giving relationships with God, other people, and the world around us.
Jesus lived into these relationships within his own life. He was regularly found spending time alone with the Father, doing life in a community of people who knew him well, and bringing healing, restoration, justice, and good news to the people and crowds he encountered.
Here at Harbor Churches, we want to help you take steps to deepen each of these relationships in your own life. To do this, we create communities of belonging centered on Jesus where you can be formed and sent to be good news.
MCs are ongoing groups of 15 – 25 people who exist to be good news to one another and the people around us. MCs are small enough that we can genuinely care for each other but large enough that we can dare to make an impact in the lives of the people around us. MCs are designed to invite our neighbors, friends, co-workers, and classmates to experience good news through a community of belonging. MCs share a meal together at least 2x per month, pray and give thanks together, and find creative ways to ‘help people find their way back to God.’
Anchor groups are a men’s small group/bible study opportunity for 6-8 people to explore together what the Bible says about God and about humanity. Utilizing the Discovery Bible Study approach, we will practice hearing the word but also doing the word through both life practice and missional rhythms. Anchor groups will run 6 – 8 weeks each fall and spring term based on a sermon series and/or special topic chosen by the leaders.
Cultivate groups are a women’s small group/bible study opportunity for 6-8 people to explore together what the Bible says about God and about humanity. Utilizing the Discovery Bible Study approach, we will practice hearing the word but also doing the word through both life practice and missional rhythms. Cultivate groups will run 6 – 8 weeks each fall and spring term based on a sermon series and/or special topic chosen by the leaders.
Breaking Bread Groups
Breaking bread is an opportunity to connect with others. Our hope is that it helps you get to know each other more personally while chatting over a meal or coffee! Here’s how it works: Individuals and families who are attending Jamestown Harbor (in person or online) sign up to connect three times over three months. Each group will have a volunteer point person who will help coordinate and communicate. We encourage each group to rotate the responsibility of “hosting” once a month. You can choose to open up your home, enjoy beverages over a zoom call, or meet at a local park or restaurant. After three months, there will be a new opportunity to sign up and groups will get shuffled and reassigned. We believe relationships are important and that life is so much richer when we do it WITH each other. Join us! Sign up during the months of January and September.
Our Cross-Campus Discipleship Team has developed a Faith Disciplines page where you can find several discipline suggestions. Each one includes the WHY, WHAT & HOW for that specific practice, as well as book recommendations from the Harbor Churches Staff. This is a great tool to use as you take your next steps toward growing deeper in your relationship with Jesus.

Whether we feel like our marriage is healthy or unhealthy, marriages require intentional care and work in order to grow and thrive. We are inviting you to join us for a Marriage Lab that will focus on diving deeper into who we are as individuals and spouses.
